The Rivers Trust is looking for an environmental scientist with strong GIS and data analysis skills to join the growing All-Ireland team and to augment the existing nine members of the Data & Evidence team spread across the UK. Working alongside experienced Rivers Trust staff and partners, you will provide technical support and knowledge-sharing solutions to facilitate the use of data and evidence for integrated catchment management in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, and rapidly growing team and will contribute to building the technical and delivery capacity of the Rivers Trusts movement. You will work within the Data & Evidence team in The Rivers Trust and along-side technical staff from across the wider movement. The All-Ireland team is loosely based around a hub office at Ballinderry Rivers Trust in Cookstown, County Tyrone, but the role can be delivered remotely, and the team is well established with strong infrastructure to enable working from home. Likewise, the Data and Evidence team are spread across the UK. So, we welcome applications from candidates anywhere in Northern Ireland. The role may require attendance at one of The Rivers Trust’s other office hubs (currently London, Manchester, Bristol, and Cornwall) from time to time, as well as regular travels across the island of Ireland and Great Britain. The Rivers Trust is an exciting, deeply committed, enthusiastic and very friendly organisation. It’s an inclusive and welcoming place to work.
