The Team and Role


The Consulting Sustainable Solutions team, based in Belfast, support the Department for Infrastructure and Translink frameworks.


The team work on environment projects such as highways schemes, some rail work, and flood alleviation schemes. The role will also support the wider national environmental team.

As part of your role you will:

  • Support the environmental team in providing services and advice to the design team.

  • Use your knowledge and experience of using ESRI GIS systems, to support the geo-spatial team and manage daily data tasks.

  • Become familiar with Ordnance Survey mapping datasets.

  • Support the GIS/Operations team with larger projects.

  • Contribute to the development of supporting workflow/process efficiency.

  • Provide technical support for teams throughout, including data, collection, and quality assurance.

What we need from you

  • Minimum 2:1 Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography or Environmental Science.

  • Knowledge and experience of using ESRI GIS systems

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas, and collaborating with colleagues.

  • Confidence to work under pressure, and the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
