Job summary
Support the Green Infrastructure Team Lead - Climate & Natural Capital in the development and implementation of Council’s approach to sustainability and climate change.The postholder will work across the City & District with residents and stakeholders to deliver a range of strategic projects to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Council’s Climate Pledge, Strategy and Action Plan in accordance with the NI Climate Change Act and Council’s Green Infrastructure Plan in accordance with the statutory Biodiversity Duty and associated regulations. Support the development & implementation of Council’s Green Infrastructure Plan (2019-2032), co-ordinating and managing the Green Infrastructure governance arrangements, delivery, monitoring, KPI’s and stakeholders relationships, to ensure objectives, actions and targets are achieved. Provide professional biodiversity advice & guidance cross departmentally, to support the delivery of Council’s Climate and Sustainability ambitions.Manage the development, implementation and delivery of Council’s biodiversity projects, policies, strategies / plans and Biodiversity Duty, in line with Councils’ strategic aims and objectives.
